Cook Book
Scottish Toffee

8oz Granulated Sugar
8oz Butter
4 Tablespoons of Syrup
300ml Condensed Milk

Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Combine the remaining  ingredients.
Bring to the boil then simmer
for 20 minutes, stirring continuously
Pour into a parchment lined metal tray.
Allow to cool then break out into small chunks.
Cinder Toffee

2 cups of granulated sugar
¼ pint cold water
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder

Bring the water to a boil in a heavy saucepan while dissolving the sugar.
Lower the heat to a fast simmer. When the water starts to change colour remove pan from the heat and immediately add the baking powder. Pour the mixture into a parchment lined metal tray. Allow to cool then break out into small chunks.
